My 2nd Remembered Life as a Russian Army Officer...:




The war had been terrible and ugly and as Russian Army Officer I felt equally terrible and ugly for the part I’d played in it.  I desperately needed to find beauty somewhere.

.I was completely unable to find it either in myself or in what was around me.  I had to find and have it close.  I couldn’t face a life that felt so dark, desolate and lonely.  I thought then, I was missing family and someone to care for.  In particular, I thought I needed a wife.  I’d found both beauty and someone to care for there before.  It was at this time, I met Natalie and because of where I was inside, I was completely unable to see anything but beauty in her.  Having all the dark and bad I could stomach inside me, I unconsciously made sure I saw only light and good in Natalie.  She was fresh and young, vibrant, vivacious and sensual with dark eyes that sparkled and flashed.  For me then, when I was feeling old and jaded by life; she felt like a fresh spring breeze wafting in through an open window...
